2011 ArtScene / National Culture Days

Lions Bay Arts Council will be presenting ArtScene 2011 on Saturday October 1, 2011 as part of Canada’s National Culture Days celebrating arts and culture from coast to coast to coast.

This year’s ArtScene will again feature our annual Art Show and Sale in the Village Hall as well as a program of musical and speaking performances by local Lions Bay artists.  Check back often as we update the list of artists particpating and special activities.

kc dyer, author of three historical fiction novels for young adults, will be reading from her books as part of Lions Bay’s ArtScene 2011 taking place October 1, 2011. A former teacher and award-winning writer, kc dyer has spoken before thousands of students in grades 7 – 12. She has appeared as a presenter at the Surrey International Writers’ Conference, Word on the Street and many other events.

Bill Kimmett, poet and long-time Lions Bay resident will be reading his poetry at ArtScene 2011 taking place on October 1st.   Bill will join KC  Dyer as part of our literary program taking place in the Libary.  Check back for more program updates…..
