Pat Grass – Artist

Though my earlier occupation was a research technician in Microbiology, my interests have always been drawing and painting, so when other demands lessened I took up acrylic painting again. I grew up in North Vancouver but have resided near the shore of Howe Sound on the coast of southern B.C. for 30 years. My husband and I have four talented beautiful daughters, now grown, but all their childhood summers were spent happily cruising the Inside Passage with us in a small motorsailer. Some of my acrylic paintings try to depict the beauty of B.C. The places I like to paint are natural vistas influenced by mountains or water in B.C. and elsewhere. The snow-capped peaks, quiet depths of inlets or rivers, the reflections and clarity in still ponds, and the crystalline look of splashing water, all hold a special fascination for me. I have always loved to draw children and animals. I am looking forward to spending time on the boat with our two granddaughters.
